Cross Cultural Communications: Challenges and Opportunities - Dinner Speech

Communication is so much more than the words we utter or the sentences we write.  It’s embedded in our gestures, our facial expressions, our attitudes and so much more.  Moreover, how we communicate is driven by our values.

At the end of the evening you will:
Understand the six cultural values that drive “our” and “others”; behavior, perceptions, decision-making and responses.

Recognize your own cultural values and discover how they inform your communication behaviours.

Observe the likely gaps between your values and those of five other national cultures with whom you likely interact.

Discuss strategies for closing these newly identified gaps.
