This class is the preparatory class for the CPIM exam. To obtain your CPIM certification you must pass the certification exam. Certification exams can be purchased via ASCM Western Canada. This class will also quality for the ASCM Western Canada Free Exam Retake offer (must purchase the Exam Credit from and be an ASCM Certification Upgrade and Western Canada Chapter Member).

Your Instructor(s) for the program

Mark Latam, CPIM, CSCP has been delivering the APICS Body of Knowledge in Boardrooms, Classrooms, and Training Rooms at host companies throughout the Fraser Valley for the past 16 years. An ASCM Member since 1992, Mark is a Past President of the APICS Fraser Valley Chapter. Mark is an operations professional with over 35 years of experience in a variety of roles in several different industries. Mark’s certifications include CPIM and CSCP from APICS, Lean Greenbelt (Sigma and Agile) from Lean Sensei International, DDLP from the Demand Driven Institute, and Scrum Master 1 from Scrum.org.  Graduated with an Honours Diploma in Mechanical Industrial Engineering from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology.

Pathway to Certification  

Your APICS Certification preparation begins with the APICS learning system. The CPIM Learning System is designed to prepare students to complete the CPIM Certification exam. CPIM exam must be passed within three years of each other to earn the CPIM designation. To maintain your CPIM designation you must submit a certification maintenance application every five years. 

The learning system 

The APICS Learning System is a comprehensive program with access to print and digital material, interactive learning activities, quizzes, flashcards, and downloadable content so you can study anywhere. The curriculum is drawn from the APICS Exam Content Manual (ECM) and organizes information from industry-leading references.
